Raw material and product groups

Mineral, fossil-based, plant- and animal-based raw materials can be used for producing insulation materials. In addition there are solid high-efficiency insulation materials (vacuum insulation, aerogels) which can't be clearly labelled as mineral or fossil-based.

Insulation materials are available in different forms. Each area of application demands the appropriate product form. All product forms can be made from various different raw materials.
