Straw
Straw is a by-product of cultivating grain.
Straw for insulation can be used loose (as chaff), or processed into bales or strawboard panels.
The thermal conductivity of straw bale insulation should not exceed λ = 0.067 W/mK along the length of the straws, and λ = 0.044 W/mK crosswise.
