Vacuum insulation, commonly in the form of Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIPs), insulates excellently with a fifth of the thickness of standard insulation materials. With vacuum insulated panels (VIPs), a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.007 to 0.008 W/mK are achieved.
