Thermal conductivity (λ value)

Thermal conductivity (unit = W/mK) is a material constant and indicates how well a material transports heat.

A material's thermal conductivity mainly depends on its bulk density, temperature, pore or fibre structure, and moisture content, because water has a high thermal conductivity and porous building materials tend to absorb water.
